Our story
Alpha Airlines was established in August 2024. Its roots go back to 2018, when founder Ton van Gessel began laying the groundwork, drawing on his background in the airline industry and the Air Force.
Our leadership team has more than 25 years of experience in each line of the business. We keep the organisation as flat as we can, so that decisions are made quickly and by the people who know the work.

Modular air travel
So we look at aircraft as modular: one type, several kinds of work.
Three jets cover the near term. Later an A330(C)F takes the same idea to a very different scale, with an emergency hospital in modules.
Where we stand
Alpha Airlines does not operate flights and does not sell seats yet. The aircraft shown are the types we are planning around, drawn as illustrations.
We test the concept before anything goes into service.
We talk to hospitals, shippers and travellers to learn what they need.
What comes after depends on what these two steps show.
Responsibility
Our aim: fuel-efficient aircraft, sustainable aviation fuel, and offsetting what remains.
Fewer single-use plastics, onboard waste recycled, and efficient waste handling at every facility.
Our leadership has proven experience bringing logistical support and essential supplies to communities hit by disasters.
Alpha Data Link
Alpha Data Link, or ADL, turns the condition, location and timing of critical shipments into one secure, live picture.
A reusable unit travels with the cargo by sea, air or land and records time, position, temperature and humidity. If something goes wrong, the right people are alerted while there is still time to step in.
